CINEMA LOVER

It's not even the end of Jan 2008 and I've already watched 90% of those famous movies...I can't help it..with cinemas just mere few minutes of driving distance from college...heck...easy access and with student's price quote, it's affordable to be in and out of TGV/GSC/CINELEISURE

Alvin & the chipmunks, American Gangster, Gabriel(twice), Cloverfield, Sweeney Todd and Rambo 4 in just this year

I think i've one ticket missing as well...I'm so updated with movies that i'm giving reviews on it plus recommendation to others...sincerely...if it's not a good movie...it's not the wastage of money that bothers me..it's the time and effort to make it..and i hate disappointments...well...I'm easy to satisfy :P ..erm..yeah right!...lol...Coming up on my list...

CJ7...I don't fancy comedies..since the others that I have watched were really unique ones...something out of norm..but since there's such a big thing with all the promos and media for this movie..i don't think i'll find it hard to get someone to watch this with me...I'm not expecting anything...will go in for a good laugh =) Date of release: 7 Feb 2008

Meet the Spartans...Ok....i feel this movie is kind of cool...I love 300 the day i watched it..though some gave reviews on dissatisfaction, i was on the positive side...heck..i'm not gonna miss this..even my bro is gaming for it...Date of release: 31 Jan 2008

Kungfu Dunk...Ok...i might watch this if the review is good..either that...i'll just walk in if the time is good...lol..i'm not a JC fan..just felt a lil weird with him acting..though no doubt about his talent in the music industry..besides..i have something against the lead actress...cute = not hot...sorry ppl. Date of release: 7 Feb 2008

Woh...2 big movies on the same date...what competition..well..might just watch 2 in 1...problem solved...

One Missed Call...I have a thing for horror/thrill movies ever since watching the shutter on my bday in 2004...the best horror movie ever made in my opinion..bet you wanna sit with me and hear me scream on this one...alright...anyone for a thrill??? Date of release: 7 Feb 2008

Nice...all 3 movies on the same date...that leaves to...movie marathon..c'mon ppl...we've got popcorns to feast on...watch with me....lol

God bless!

Women's priced asset

Well, after having grown a lil over the past few years, i still conclude that what's important in everyone's eyes are the beauty that lays before them.

"Beauty is commonly defined as a characteristic present in a person, place, object or idea that provides a perceptual experience of pleasure, meaning or satisfaction to the mind or to the eyes, arising from sensory manifestations such as a shape, color, personality, sound, design or rhythm.

A common way to measure outer beauty, as based on community consensus, or general opinion, is to stage a beauty pageant, such as Miss Universe. Inner beauty, however, is more difficult to quantify, though beauty pageants often claim to take this into consideration as well."

Wikipedia

I don't mean that beauty relates only to those supermodels or celebrities that has all the time in the world to look and stay good...but sincerely..with the world we're living in now...there's no doubt a great emphasis has been placed upon it. Nope, don't get me wrong by saying i'm obsessed now....I'm just saying...i believe i should try to make effort to look my best...

I once read a newspaper article on how a married female who had slacked in grooming herself...she used to go to shopping malls with slippers and comfortable shorts and t-shirts....then she bumped into her long time friend in one of her easy going days...her friend dressing smartly...looked professional...eventhough the writer herself was successful but her dressing gave everyone the impression of something too simple...

Well, we do get the saying of 'never judge a person by looks' but how can ppl possibly deny that first impression counts! that's what results from interviews depend upon!

Bro: I wanna date pretty girls...it's inevitable that you wanna get those good looking ones

Me: Yeah, but the difficulty in it...but it does matter a lot...

Bro: You wanna be able to appreaciate the girl's beauty when she's around..to admire her in different dressings...besides...gfs are like guy's trophy...you wanna be proud of them...

Before stepping out of your house...you might wanna have a look at the mirror and tell yourself that you're gonna look great with whoever that you meet!

HOLIDAYS...

CNY and Valentine is approaching but seems that since last year...the merry seasons do not seep into me...feel like it's gonna come and go...I haven't bought my CNY clothing...just pathetically roam around Jusco Bukit Raja since there was time before a meeting in church...couldn't find a single thing i wanted...got me worrying...thinking of how elaine has been shopping around so much for new year's clothing...there i am..not even a single new clothing in hand...decided to give up and maybe opt for aeon when i have the time...as i make my way to the parking ticket counter...i saw the shop SEED...decided to head in...why not? just for that couple minutes of looking around...there i saw...a red blouse fitted on the manuquin...yeap...i finally found something i want...took an S size ..went into the fitting room and...perfect!....lol...

sincerely...i don't have time for shopping at all....hopefully i'll find something soon...lol...while shorts are in the trend...i still prefer skirts...they never do disappear in trend...ah...besides...they fit me better than shorts considering my bodyshape... =P

Alright, it's Thaipusam today...2 tuition classes have been cancelled...so..i'm back at home reading comics online

One piece...I know...I'm so outdated..well..this my source of entertainment as i don't play computer games...hehehe...since i'm in my room...I'm letting out on my new additions...some of you do know i never liked soft furry toys...so...these became my

TREASURES IN THE ROOM

CHOO CHOOS!...lol...from left...Big Choo, Black Choo, White Choo and Brown choo...so far...these are the only choos available in the market...i want more choo choo...lol...erm...i named them choo choos..not sure about the actual commercial name...gosh...when did i turn so cute???Small choos are so irresistibly cute and the big choo is so nice to hug as a pillow..lol...and i've finally touched my student accountant magazine..all these while it has been left there untouched in the plastic..as they sent this through an envelope and ms kiran reminded us on the benefits of reading this magazine...i conclude...it's ok....well...flipping through won't harm...ok...doubt i'll open the old stocks...lol....

God bless!

TOo Much of ACCOUNTS!

Wondering if i do really have time for myself?? I have additional students this year for my accounts tuition means additional income as well..but it also comes with a hefty price around the clock...

My schedule
Hours
One week period of time 24hrs X 7days =
168
Less: tuition time 2hrs X 4classes =
(8)

acca classes (3hrs X 6classes) + 0.5hr =
(18.5)
travelling thru and fro college 1.5hr X 4days =
(6)

weekends (church and visiting bro) 8hrs X 2days =
(16)

_______
119.5

sleep 8hrs X 7days
(56)

Occasional worship practice
(3)

_______
60.5
_______

Ok...I'm left with an average of 60hours perweek to eat, quiet time, groom, play, afternoon napping and study....that's around 8 hours per day....not including the times I'm left idle in college during breaks....additional time for arriving early in class....watching movies in cinema and the occasional supper...I'll tryto be superwoman this sem...Might have more sights of me eating and doing homework simultaneously...However, i really wanna thank God that 3quarters of my students' notes are done...pyramid or summit is just around the corner to catch a movie and if i push all my tuition in one or two days i can have the rest of the week for my own enjoyment...

Maybe I should do an analysis of feasibility of investing my time in doing a stuff on whether the benefits outweight the detriments...nah...too much of finance is never good...lol

God Bless!

p/s : I'm always free when it comes to food....pls reserve that seat for me...=P

BEAUTY ENHANCERS

Some may just shushh it off whenever there's a mention of mascaras, eyeliner, blushers, lipsticks and eye shadow. Guys think it's a girls' thing...younger girls think it's for vanity sake and attention seeking...older ladies feel the need for it to disguise aging lines and freckles...I for one...feels that it may not be a need or a necessity but definitely a great boost on appearance wise...I'm serious! not all have that natural beauty that sparkles from their face...others use cosmetics for the trick...as for me...I do use a lil of foundation to even out my skin, eyebrow liner to thicken my brows and maybe mascara to at least add some size to my eyes before i leave the house...when I'm no hurry for time, I'll stroke a lil brush of blusher upon my cheeks and add more tones by utilising eyeshadows...

I remembered bro's comment on my light make up days...

"How come your eyes seem bigger today?"(bro)

' Oh...i put on some make ups'(me)

"It works...i wanna put some on too"(bro)

Burst of laughters!

I strongly believe that make ups are to enhance the beauty...not for eye catching....It'll look awkward when you see ladies with thick make ups as if they've spent hours in front of the mirror and ended up disastrouslooking good...let everything be lightly padded unless you're in a performance then it calls for extensive painting...Some may think i get the skill from mom...but all i did was observing...those that look a whole lot prettier with colours are to be eyed for...mom for one doesn't use much of make up, no eye shadows or mascara for her...as for me...it's ok to make myself look more vibrant...it's ok to wanna look good and it's even better if i know how to do it....

This sem i'll do more touching up on my face...just there...i'm still too lazy to dress up well enough...heheh..it's college...the need for comfort....
God bless!

The smart smart me

College has just started for 2days....guessed i'm so used to having big classes that i'm quite immune to the crowd....just packed ourselves with the rest and less noise making...lol...Glad my timetable this time isn't that packed...left with ample time for me to have dinners at home and also to give tuition...

Ok...during the first day of class which started on 3rd Jan...I had this sudden inspiration for a lil art and craft...some of you do notice that i've always been wearing different type of earrings to suit my exterior of that day...then i got lazy sometimes to even search for the earrings that i wanted to wear and just pick up whatever that's nearest to me...and then the...

GREAT INVENTION!
the rack to hang my earrings collection!...all for me to pick...any of the time of the day..and only to my dismay that i don't actually have that much of earrings as i thought..of course...the studs can't be placed on it..
A closer peek...i used the japanese rolling board to make sushis...lol...and just hang my treasure on the board...tied a string on top left and right and vollla!!!

Front view...twinkle twinkle...lol...i guess lots more to come..

God bless!

YEAR 2007

It's already the 3rd of Jan and i'm just updating my new year's celebration post...i'm just so outdated...lol...can't help it when the connection is pretty bad when bros are around..so..i'm taking this opportunity to keep uploading pictures while the connection is still good...hehehe

Alright...that day(new year's eve)...Wai King, Tarsem, Beng Wee and I went mid valley to catch a movie

Wai King wanted to watch this movie adapted from a best-seller novel...it has features like the notebook and titanic on romantic love stories during the youth told by an old later some time later....what i love about the movie is that it felt like a classic that will draw ppl to watch it and admire it...packed with mystery and uncertainty...the way they present the flashbacks..were very expert and not confusy at all...

Well, i went back to church for the last 2 hours of 2007....dad came to me while the worship was going on and asked me to play the song they were practising in front of the whole church..i wasn't the actual pianist...i just lent a hand when dad and mom want to practise...another problem was that there was no chords...all i could do was to play out of my head from those times i played at home...aih...

Dad and mom on stage....bro is the camera person and....
the blur me behind the keys...was there praying...pls not let anyone notice all the wrong notes i played...lol...
Me and Wah...my eyes are so droopy...*yawn*
wah, Me and vern....wah blinked her eyes at the wrong time...i was wearing heels..thus, the exceptional height in comparison to them...lol
the girls...csw missing from the picture...aih...faster come back....
Me and sher....didn't really get to talk to her since her return from australia...but a good friend and sis of mine
Harvest Youth annual picture for the new year....hehehe..some ppl are still missing from it though...

the girls again..this time with the christmas tree behind...vern was so cute...she didn't wanna stand with me and wah coz she was wearing jeans...

Reminiscing year 2007...

A year of learning and experiencing...i've been to great dinners..and tried so many stuff...learn to appreciate a lil more for alcohol...learn to push myself to study and trust in God for His wisdom....

A year of fun and fulfilling...i've never been so many times walking into the cinema like last year...i think it was around at least three times a month on average...or even more...hehehe....i went sunway lagoon...the curve...singapore...been to 2 major concerts...Gwen Stefanie and My Chemical Romance

A year of being so busy coz i was involved in children church, playing keyboard everyweek for chinese service...serve in both youth and sunday service...attending youth service and leadership training workshop...so much of fun

A year of more spending and saving....started giving tuition and inspiring my students...spent a lot in starbucks and fast food....not to mention occasional shopping trips...

A year of plentiful of headaches and migraines due to complication of handling my problems...aih...

but I'll definitely remember the year 2007 coz that year i grew and learnt a lot...thanks everyone for letting me know you a lil better...

God bless!

Day 2...
Managed to slot in a little time to have Bw taking me around singapore...pity i missed the fun when elaine and vincent was around...just came too late...so..had my first try on the super efficient mrt that connects to almost everywhere of singapore...
Me in a park at lavender...was about to get my hands on some at least decent hawker stall food...
in need of attending nature's call...i went into a 10cent per entry toilet...there's no need of anyone taking care of the payment...you just slot in the machine...and it allows you the access...i'm just bewildered by the hygiene of singapore's public toilet....
was recommended on this bowl of chilli mee...not bad at all...the flavour just compliments the noodles' texture...along with prawn, fishcake, egg, and some meat....$4.00 for this big bowl...couldn't finish it...wasted
Tong yuen with 5flavours...pretty cool...there's green tea, yam, red bean, peanuts and black sesame...well..they should have this in msia...i so want them here....
Every cat i saw in singapore is this big...FAT!!...lol...they're so well fed...compare them to msia's ones...
ok...this is just so cool...this can is 'whatever'...and you won't know what's in it till you open it up for a drink...cheap and well..the one we bought wasn't that pleasant of a drink..but was nice to try it...
the christmas deco outside a shopping mall...here's Joseph, Mary and baby Jesus in the manger.
The inside of a 7-eleven stall...they are just so many varieties of snacks....msia's 7-eleven need a lot of upgrades....
big big christmas tree outside vivo city...look at the passer-bys...they look like miniature toys against the big big tree...
there's a statue hanging there....when the gushing of the wind comes....that man will swing....pretty neat right?
Got my new shades on and decided to get a good picture from the view..that's sentosa island behind me...
ok ok...after all those pictures..at least some credit to my tour guide who had to visit the same place twice just because i couldn't make it to join elaine and vincent's tour...aih...
Sentosa island...admiring it..pity i didn't get to step into it...maybe next time for sure...
Clark Quay...one of the happening places in singapore...well...all i could do is just to look around during the day...and i was already so exhausted from all the walking...
More of clark quay....wonder if the boat rides are good....
cough cough...what a name for a bar...guess this is a place to meet ppl and....commit less as well...lol
don't focus on me..look at those fountains behind...along with the pretty decos up...
i think i was struggling to smile..just too weary to do anything....singapore needs more resting place...everyone is just always walking..aih...and so i bid bw goodbye and headed home to prepare myself for the exclusive dinner in Singapore Island Country Golf Club..
Dad (left) with Uncle Seah (top) and Uncle Goh...they were ex uni mates in UK..and still keeping in touch till now...wao...
Me and natalie...they're so picky on which side of their face to be taken...all i knew was to smile at the camera...lol
the ladies...
that night we took a stroll in orchard road...there were some parade going on...
the line of wheels of parade...too bad we missed the show...only came in just as they were finished...

last picture for the post...we looked so happy....lol...hiding away those tired feet...

God bless!

SINGAPORE TRIP

I did not update my blog any earlier due to my bro sharing my house's internet bandwidth...as a result, it'll take ages for me to upload any pictures...let's start with how i spent my holidays after the shopping trip with my lovely girls....in SINGAPORE!

DAY 1

This time, dad decided to drive us all to JB and then find our way to singapore...so, after three quarters way...we stopped in Yong Peng for some really famous fishballs...just look at the restaurant...the amount of promotion and big emphasis on their 'original' fishballs...

mummy while waiting for our meal...we weren't that hungry...just wanted some rest and stuff ourselves...lol
simple..but the soup from the fishball is really good...and the texture of it...springy and chewy...as if it'll bounce if you were to bring it to the table..lol...and dad ordered an extra bowl of 15 fishballs for our satisfaction...
For the three nights...we slept in dad's ex uni mates from uk...uncle seah and family...this is the comfy room that were allocated to us..his daugther (natalie) room...king sized bed...nice..just like mine..hehehe...
our first adventure in singapore was to Esplanade...looks like a giant durian building to me...but it is supposed to be portraying a giant microphone i think if i remembered correctly
papa and mummy alongside me outside marina square...no...we didn't enter into the building...just decided to utilise the camera more...lol
here..whole family outside the big durian building...lol
outside the famous lion statue...saw that small lion thing behind us with splashing water springing out of its mouth..hehehe..hot day though
this is by far the coolest door i've seen...it opens and closes automatically...not the type that sense something and opens for you..this is without a sensor...and i'm just amazed as it opens and closes...opens and closes...lol
i've got to taste their ice cream in singapore...from GElare...cookie dough...lol..too sweet for my liking but definitely worth the try....
what attracted us to the national history museum that day...a poster of the greek exhibition....take a closer look

lol...such open minded the ppl of singapore...i'm just joking...we've already decided to pay the museum a visit before we saw any of the poster....and we didn't even get a peek at the greek exhibition...so...no nudity was flashed that day....lol...

another poster on the female anatomy...but this is not that surprising to me...lol...
the interior roof of the museum...cool eh...looks like a cathedral...
my family and natalie...what's really awesome about this museum is that you get an audio piece...that accompanies you throughout the whole trip in the museum..amazing...
mummy and me in the museum..by that time..our legs would have been really tired from standing and walking around for 2 whole hours.....

how ovaltine looks like in the ancient days....wow...they survived till this very day...hehehe

look at the cool tv shape..it was to commemorate the first launch of man to moon i think...can't really remember...but was to make it shaped space-y like....hehehe
blender and mixer all in 1...save your time to get to..might as well combine them....lol
at the main door of the museum....students for $5 and adults $10....definitely for every single cent for it...totally recommended to pay a visit...hehehe

finaly picture for the day....well...we had fun...not much of shopping though...more of adventuring..

God bless!

p/s too many photos to upload...so...day2 will be coming soon!
