My CNY has been cut short when the ACCA results were released....though i did manage to survive the battle but i hate the fact that i'll know my friends result which if it were to be unexpectedly bad, i'll sulk for a few days..yeap...my prediction were true (hate that) and i went on the total hopeless mode for a week....

I guess it's about time to come back and improve things...I'm not gonna let things be the same anymore...Won't do the same thing, will be focus more on stuff that are in priority like serving in church...Why do circumstances always have to happen before we realise things??

Anyway..this time it means more appreciative of friends...and finally to be steadfast in what i think is right....I need a break sooner or later...why can't everyday be weekends where i'll be in church...sheesssh..that means i'm trying to avoid things...that's not right....youth these days (hint: ME) are just full of unproductive worrying...ain't that so??

The grand dinner

Yeap..i was in charge of preparing the reunion dinner if you've observed in my previous post...spent the whole day in the kitchen preparing the grand feast..every year i'll try something different...last year was a magnificent roast chicken...but this is the first i prepared every single dish myself from scratch...was good that i was able to expand my cooking skill...though some dishes turn out not up to the par...but well....reunion dinner is all about gathering as a family and dig in to some good food...dessert was the tiramisu i made yesterday...

Happy Chinese New Year!

Enough with the explaination..have a look yourself...

Tues, 5th Feb

(Tiramisu on a cup)

Enough of baking for me...since i'm the person in charge of reunion dinner preparation tmr, i better not messed especially with mom being so uptight spring cleaning the house...tiramisu(like chilled cheesecake) needs to be fridged overnight...thus, i made them today...hopefully i haven't lost my skill...

I still am very handy being a girl..since my bros and i always get our own job done...besides, don't want to beg bros for mercy in doing some small little stuff....thus, why i assembled my own table lamp from ikea...

Baking Tips with House'daughter' Maddy...

Ok...I am pretty skilful for a youngster...bake, cook, housework, sew, play the piano, dance(learnt ballet since std 1)...only that i'm not that good in sports...it's a so so thing for me...used to represent school during primary for handball and netball..but lost my touch altogether in secondary school where academic took a serious role in my life...lol...

It's the season for CNY..I just got my mood for it...that's when mom decided not to buy cookies...
1. It's too expensive
2. Too sweet for a health-conscious family

So, mom made me dig out my rusty baking skills to make CNY cookies for her...Flipped through recipe books and opted for simple made ones (hint: lazy)

Sat, 2nd Feb
SINFUL...
(Choc coated cornflakes)

Step1 : line up some paper cups...Step2 : mix crushed cornflakes, raisins and roasted nutsStep3 : Estimate sufficient cooking chocolateStep4 : Scrape the bar to make choc shaving for easy melting using a knifeStep5 : Melt the choc through double boiling (using steam as a form of heat) or another less hassle alternative is through a great invention = microwave...and you should be able to guess which method i preferred...lolStep6 : Pour in the melted choc into the dried ingredients...make sure everything is fully coated

and the RESULT...

I'm just making everything in small portions so at least there's variety than quantity...Not for sale though...lol

Sun, 3rd Feb

Guiltless...

(oatmeal choc chip cookie)

Well, i can't actually fatten ppl up too much and causing all the sugar rise during this season..so, here's another cookie that's healthy and still delightful...

Organic molasses sugar...it isn't as refined as the ordinary white sugar castor...thus, the perfect ingredient for my next super healty cookieThe batter : Butter, molasses sugar, egg, vanila essence, flour, bicarbonate soda, oat and choc chipform the dough into round shapes...place them upon greased baking paper...pop into oven on 180degree for 20minutes

and the result...

I'd prefer this to chipsmore anytime =P

God bless!
